Kadakh Plot

Directed by Rajat Kapur, Kadakh is a Hindi SonyLIV Originals based on conflicting loyalties between extra-marital relationships and the bond of marriage. It’s an amalgamation of unearthing truths, infidelity in relationships, and trauma-led suicide. The show revolves around an unhappy couple hiding a dead body in their house during their lavish Diwali party. This all begins on the day of the extravagant Diwali party when Sunil, played by Ranvir Shorey is home alone and some stranger knocks at his door and introduces himself as Raghav. The stranger who looks like an extremely jovial man turns out to be the husband of Chhaya, the woman with whom Sunil is having an extramarital affair. Sunil hesitantly invites him inside the house and offers him tea. The conversation gets deeper and uncomfortable when Raghav digs more about the immoral relationship between Sunil and his cheating wife. But the story takes a thrilling turn when Raghav gets violent, pulls out a gun from his bag, and commits suicide in front of Sunil. Just at that moment, Sunil’s wife Malti (Mansi Multani) comes home and sees the dead stranger. Sunil doesn’t want Malti to know about his affair, thus he portrays Raghav as someone he fired recently and makes her believe him. Now both Sunil and Malti could be seen hiding the body just in time the guests arrive for their party. They are trying to get rid of the body while entertaining their guests at the same time. Each guest brings an interesting twist and turn to the story which turns their Diwali night into the night of dark surprises.
